Limousin area

A letter to the year three class at CCC.

Dear everyone

I have been to London that has been my favourite place.
Also I have been reading about Queen Victoria, and they had penny hangs then, you sleep on it. And they made children work too. And also women, they carried coal, it was often so heavy that it took two men to lift it onto their heads.

I have a little piano now. I also have a blog that has all my adventures.

Happy Christmas to everyone, and goodbye Miss Adams and congratulations.

Thankyou for the letters I loved reading everyones.

Good bye

Love Johanna

-----------

Penny hang - During Victorian times homeless people on the street could hire a penny hang which was a space on a thick rope. There was no room to lie down so you hung across it.

Johanna was reading about children working in the coal mines and the terrible conditions.
